It’s the 12th Edition in Kilchoman’s 100% Islay series, and still going strong! This release was distilled from Kilchoman’s 2011, 2012, and 2013 barley harvests (grown exclusively on Islay on a single farm), before the spirit was matured in 19 bourbon barrels and six oloroso sherry butts for at least eight years. It’s a smoky, fruity, floral delight, and superbly well-balanced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose : Sweet peat smoke leads, followed by homemade jam, lemon blossom, fudge, and kitchen spices.
Palate : Orange chocolate, toasted nuts, and burnt banana bread, alongside aromatic smoke and sweet figs.
Finish : Bittersweet cocoa, woody smoke, and cinnamon sticks.
